Santa, Saint or Sinner? You Decide.

So Christmas is creeping up which makes us look at the realities of life in all aspects and one reality is Father Christmas, Santa Claus, St Nick, Kris Kringle, what ever you wish to call him. Now obviously we know every year this jolly (slightly obese) fellow brings Christmas spirit to us all in the shape of various items we have wished for that year. But let's be realistic about it, how many Laws is this guy breaking. Not only is he breaking and entering all of our homes (which is pretty horrific come to think of it) but he is leaving with a bellyful of booze, hopping onto his sleigh and invading air space DRUNK. So next time you think of Santa as this nice friendly face remember this guy is total out of control, he needs help.

Check out his latest mug shot here on Ebay or here on Etsy.

Chaos In The Capital Cities...

If you don't think much is going on in the Capital Cities of England and Wales at the moment, think again...

In the world of fiction and graphic design, London and Cardiff have been hit with a new wave of destruction - that from ancient beasts and atomic-powered robots! Brand new vintage Japanese style film poster designs display the mayhem...

London has been given an unwelcome visit from a giant fire-breathing lizard monster - their only hope is the giant Big Ben robot. Make others aware by wearing the T-shirt available on Etsy, Ebay and at Spicetag.com.

Meanwhile, Cardiff is facing total carnage from a giant atomic robot - however this robot didn't count on Wales' true hero turning up - the red Welsh Dragon! The T-shirt is available on Etsy, Ebay and at Spicetag.com.

Good luck to both cities - The Spicetag team

Down But Not Out.

A few months ago we got our old Amiga 1200 out from the attic where it has lived for about 15 years. Also found where all the games we use to play as kids like Flashback, Lionheart, Kid Chaos and many more. We set it all up ready for an evening of sheer bliss when after 15 years of sleeping decided not to wake. The lights came on, you could hear it working but never came up with anything on the screen. But I wasn't about to quit, so with a couple of fix tutorials online, taking apart the machine and soldering some new parts to the old girl it still did nothing. My hopes to play street fighter 1 (yea there was a first one) going out the window I felt as broken as the machine.
A few months later after the mourning period had passed I came across UAE4ALL an Aimga emulator for android devices. This allowed me to use my old games and play them on my Samsung tablet anywhere I wanted, it's like a Game Boy but with good games. However the thing I hate about playing platformers on tablets is the buttons, these games are not designed for touch screen controls, with my fingers getting in the way of the screen. So I searched for hardware to play on it, some I found were so expensive I may as well have bought a new Amiga system. But then I came across an App that allows you to play with a Wii controller FOR FREE and better yet supports up to 4 players.

So with the emulator starting up, my Wii controller lights blue I was ready for hours of nostalgia gaming. 5 minutes into playing Lethal Weapon "DEAD AGAIN!!!" how did I ever complete these games?

Halloween Robot T-shirts

If you're umming and ahhing about what to go as to a fancy dress party - and you're not quite sure whether to go the full-whack because you may be going out afterwards, we think we've got the solution...

Go as a humanoid. Not only is part of the dress up to look human, but it's well simple...

You're essentially wearing a T-shirt, but you look like you've been ripped open in a robot fight, or something. A simulated distressed effect gives the look of wear, scratches, rips and fades.

Below are our 3 options...

CYBORG R.50 T-SHIRT

A clean design of a modern humanoid body. View this tee on Etsy, on Ebay and at Spicetag.com.

CYBORG T-SHIRT

The above not gory enough? Here's what you'd look like if you'd been in some atomic future war - this tee is at Etsy, on Ebay and at Spicetag.com.

STEAMPUNK T-SHIRT

If you're looking for something a bit less Hi-tech, we have a steampunk option - with a ruby gem heart. View this tee at Etsy, on Ebay and at Spicetag.com.

Happy Halloween...

A Dying Holiday

So already the Christmas bonanza has started, from the adverts on TV to the festive aisles in the supermarkets. But we can't forget about one holiday, an event which has less space now in a shop than the snack bar counter, and that's Halloween.

So let's dress up, host a house party or head in for town for this dying holiday. But are you stuck for ideas on what to go as? Well there's always the traditional zombie costume, cheap, easy and everyone knows what the hell you are. But if you need some help turning yourself into a the flesh eating walker then here's a video to help.

Game Boy Android Gamepad

We are all fans of old school gaming, but nowadays it's difficult to play them. You can download emulators which allow you to play them on your mobile phone but having the controls on the game screen makes them difficult to play. If only there was some way of combining emulator games on the mobile with say, retro hardware to make playing the games a thing beauty. Well folks call in the bomb squad as your minds are about to be blown. Check it out here.

BROFORCE

We just came across this 2D platform game called Broforce, and let me tell you it is far from the usual. In Broforce you play as character parodies to those in iconic action films, Rambro, Bromando, BA Broracus, BroWalker, Bro Hard, Brade, Bro in Black, McBrover, Bro Dredd, Snake Brosken and said to be working on Bronan the Brobarian.

Each of the characters has a primary weapon, Brade has a sword, Bromando has rockets, and Bro in Black with the Cricket. They also have specials, Bro Dredd has a missile which you control, McBrover has an exploding chicken and they get better for the others.
What we have seen of this game so far is endless madness. The weapons don't seem to run out of bullet (much like the movies), most of the level terrains can be destroyed, everything pretty much explodes, blood and guts shoot all over the place, to activate checkpoints you raise the American Flag and when you've killed the boss of the level (satan) you have to "GET TO DA CHOPPA!" So it is so grossly over the top I MUST PLAY IT. It's every action film put into one game.
In the video it shows a jungle/aztec style environment which I would say is from Rambo however I do see skulls hanging from the trees which shouts PREDATOR. Hopefully throughout the game we get to see environments based on the playable characters films as well as the enemies. A couple we hope to see are Military in a mansion (Commando), Aliens in a Laboratory (Men In Black) and of cause terrorists in Nakatomi Plaza (Die Hard).
On a personal note, a few character we would love to see in this game would be Beverly Hills Bro (Eddie Murphy), Bro Weapon (Danny Glover as Murtaugh), Time Bro (Van Damme), Mad Bro (Mell Gibson), Casey Broback (Steven Seagal),  and a female Brolien (Ripley) with a special of Plasma Rifle & Flame-thrower, BAD-ASS!.
So check out this two player demo video here which will open your mind to AWESOMENESS.

The Dark Knight The 8-Bit Game

We were all fans of the 8-bit/16-bit era of games, from Super Mario World to the Legend of Zelda. These were the days when the graphics, in our minds were more realistic than what was outside the front door. Graphics couldn't get any better.

Well as you know things have changed greatly since then, but what if things had never changed, what if circles were still squares, what if they made a game of say... The Dark Knight.

Well now that 'what if' has been answered here by CineFix.

Return Of The Video Cassette (T-shirts)

Great 80s graphic design is where you find it - and what better source than 80s blank video cassette covers...

Here's a new set of T-shirt designs inspired by video cassette cover graphics - with classic simulated distressed effect and all the usual 'premium grade', 'ultra colour', 'heavy-duty' nonsense. Check out the set at the Spicetag Etsy site and at Spicetag.com.

Reinventing The Wheel

We've seen some crazy things in our time, but very little turn out to be a piece of genius. Have a look at this...

This is a short video outlining the concept behind the square skateboard wheel by Shark - it might look odd (as it's kind of square) but surprisingly effective. It's a great piece of product design and Shark have even created a number of models and colours to suite a wide range of skateboarders. Check out the vid right here.

Austin Allegro T-shirts...

When it comes to our car T-shirt designs, we try to cater for as many different car enthusiasts as we can - but not everyone loves the hot hatches and rare supercars...

Why not have icons of the 70s British motor industry? Cars that you wouldn't expect to find on a T-shirt?Sounds like a good idea...

ALLEGRO T-SHIRT

Here is an Austin Allegro, a true classic British motoring icon. Ingeniously styled by Italdesign, the Allegro is apparently more aerodynamic in reverse than in going forward. Here's our tribute T-shirt at Spicetag.com.

ALLEGRO EQUIPE T-SHIRT

Like the the Escort Mexico of 1970 and the Cavalier Calibre of 1987, the Allegro also had a special counterpart - the Allegro Equipe of 1979 with 91 bhp and a 0-60 time of 10 seconds, this vehicle was top draw in it's day...possibly. The Allegro Equipe T-shirt is available at Spicetag.com.

What does the Fox say?

There's a new video in town - it's called The Fox by Ylvis, and it's gone viral...

The dog says 'woof', the cat says 'meow', bird says 'tweet, mouse says 'meek', cow says 'moo', frog says 'croak', elephant says 'toot', duck says 'quark', fish says 'blub', seal says 'ow ow ow' - but what does the fox say?

Well, you can find out exactly what by watching the video right here.

THE FOX T-SHIRT

Just in case you forget, we've made a T-shirt of what nature's animals say at the Spicetag Etsy site and at Spicetag.com.

BOO! Radiation Scare T-shirt

We're well into simple pixel designs at the mo, and couldn't resist a go at the classic radiation symbol...

We've been meaning to put a twist on this symbol for a while - and have given it a light hearted touch of comedy. The yellow design is available at the Spicetag Etsy site and at Spicetag.com.

What's more is that we've got a black glow in the dark T-shirt available - made of Glow Flex vinyl, you can get it exclusively at the Spicetag Etsy site.

The Monumite

We've been getting into Marmite recently - the "Love it or hate it" food spread. Yes, as amateurs we've been caught out by being a little over zealous with the amount we've applied to the toast (wincing, watery eyes) but overall we like the stuff.

While browsing online about the history of this heavy-tasting food, we came across this...

This is the Monumite - built in 2010, it's a £15k giant Marmite jar sculpted from Portland limestone and placed overlooking the river in the heart of Burton on Trent.

Here's the really cool part - visitors who make a pilgrimage to this Marmite shrine will be able to download content to their smart phone or tablet through a  Bluetooth transmitter, such as pictures, history and an animation of how Marmite is made.

Love it or hate is, this is a cool piece of sculpture - with a cool modern element.

The Hippos Are Back...

Hippos mostly feed on foliage, but in the 1980s they mostly fed on plastic balls - FACT.

You know the game - four hippos face each other in binge-eating combat. Make sure your Hippo gobbles as many plastic balls as possible. If your Hippo has munched more than the other three, you win. That's it.

Here's a new set of T-shirts to commemorate this great game - with colours to match the modern format. Check them out at the Spicetag Etsy site and at Spicetag.com.

Spicetag Solardappa

We've done T-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, jackets, bags, babygrows - and now a set of daps.

This is the Solardappa - each pair hand painted in house. The galaxy style is well in at the moment so these will go well with anything, however we strongly recommend Spicetag clothing...

The Solardappa design is available in laced and slip on styles with a protective surface layer coating to keep the weather elements from spoiling their luster.

Soladappas are hand made to order, so if you're looking for something truly original, give us a shout through Spicetag.com.
