Jessica Ennis London 2012 T-shirt

The London 2012 Olympics has drawn to a close. It's been a fabulous 2 weeks of some of the greatest sport the World has ever seen.

The city of London was lit up last night with the closing ceremony - a spectacular event showcasing some of the best of British music. It was a fitting end to an incredible Olympic championship, full of fascinating venues that held some amazing, nail-biting events - as Lord Coe stated in his speech, "Britain, we did it right".

It was incredible to see stars retaining their status as the World's best and to see new stars emerge. We saw Usain Bolt smash the opposition to keep his title as the World's fastest man (we have a T-shirt here), Sir Chris Hoy become the most decorated British gold medallist, Mo Farrah become Olympic champ in 5,000m and 10,000m to name but a few.

But it was a young woman from Sheffield seen on huge posters all over the country that everyone had their eyes on - a woman seen as the face of London 2012 that gave an incredible performance to win gold as the Olympic heptathlon champion...

Jessica Ennis missed out on Beijing 2008, and people had high expectations for her for London 2012. She delivered, crossing the line first in the final event, the 800m, and showed just how much winning meant to her in an emotional medal ceremony.

We decided to design a T-shirt to commemorate Jessica Ennis as one of Britain's best ever athletes. See the T-shirt below.
