Skatepark Gets Listed

You've heard of a listed building, but a listed skatepark? That's exactly what's happened to the Rom Skatepark in Hornchurch, East London. It's been given Grade 2 listed status.

Built in 1978, which is not all that long ago, the Rom is a retro landscape of personality and challenge-rich obstacles, ramps and bowls that give any skateboarder, rollerblader, scooter and BMX riders a taste of where their recreation started.

Check out the Rom Skatepark website.

Your Kid's First Audi

It doesn't take a full-on car enthusiast to want an Audi. In fact, you don't even have to be out of nappies...

Audi have created a model range available to people who don't yet hold a drivers license. Cue the Audi Mini Quattro.

The Audi Mini Quattro is equipped with a steering wheel and horn with optional trailer available. Power output and top speed is completely dependent on the excitement of the driver.

Audi Mini Quattro drivers can then advance to the Audi Kid's Car Legends with pedal power and speed brake. This is a very cool pedal car.

If two wheels are more preferable than four, then there's the Audi Mini Runner - a speed scooter with a flippable frame for two riding positions.

If you know of any 1-8 year olds interested in owning an Audi, check out the official store.

Making Pictures From Lego

We've found one of the most awesome ways to create photo art - with Lego!

Photobrix is a fantastic site which contains a program that allows you to create images composed of coloured Lego bricks.

You simply follow the step-by-step instructions by inputting an image or photo and Photobrix will compose a pixel-esque image. It will then give you an inventory of all the Lego bricks required and building instructions - amazing! Check out Photobrix.

Need we mention Christmas is coming?...

Audi Does Knight Rider

We all know that KITT from Knight Rider could travel at break-neck speeds completely automated, but was he ever any good at taking the best racing line around those never ending desert roads?

Not from what we remember.

It's been about 30 years since KITT, but Audi's Bobby has now emerged with a breathtaking display of automated track racing that has set the benchmark for the driver-less car.

Bobby is a 560hp Audi RS7 concept car. He's recently set the driver-less car speed record at 149mph around the Hockenheim circuit.

Check out the video with commentary.

RoboCop and Murphy by Hot Toys

Hot Toys is a collectible model making company based in Hong Kong that produce possibly the best movie figurines we have seen.

We're huge movie fans here and can't resist visiting their website in search for new releases. A short while ago they released a battle-damaged RoboCop that looked absolutely incredible, but now they have released a gem from the film that no-one saw coming - RoboCop, before he was RoboCop...

This is Hot Toys' Alex Murphy, the cop who was shot to pieces in the film and whose remains were used to create the title character. He's played by Peter Weller, and the likeness in this model is remarkable.

The Murphy model is shipped as a package with Hot Toys' battle-damaged RoboCop. The likeness here is so good it even shows RoboCop's slightly disproportionate head as a result of the large prosthetic head makeup.

Hot Toys also gives you all the bits to play with - RoboCop's baby food and diagnostic spike and Murphy's Sig Sauer and Heckler and Koch pistols.

Also, check this out - we at Spicetag have both Murphy and RoboCop's autographs - both appear surprisingly similar.

See these amazing figures at the Hot Toys website.
